Specialist care for people with spinal injuries, brain injuries, neurological conditions and other high-dependency needs. From a few hours of support to 24-hour care, our nurse-led team helps you receive the care you need safely, in your own home.

Some people need much more than help with everyday tasks. They may need support with a tracheostomy, ventilator, PEG feeding, complex medication, bowel or bladder management, seizures, mobility or the effects of an acquired brain or spinal injury.
This is the care Oria specialises in.
Our nurse-led team builds each package around the individual. Carers are trained and assessed for the specific clinical needs of the person they support, with ongoing oversight from our clinical team once care begins.
The result is specialist care at home, without losing sight of the person, their routines, their family and the life they want to live.

Nurse-led shouldn’t just mean there is a nurse somewhere in the organisation. At Oria, our clinical team is directly involved in how your care is assessed, planned and supported.
Your care plan is clinically reviewed and built around your individual needs.
Your carers are trained and competency-assessed for the clinical support they will provide before working independently.
A nurse oversees your package and remains involved once care begins.
Medication, emergency and escalation plans are personalised to you rather than taken from a standard template.
Your care is reviewed as your needs change, not simply once a year.
You and your family have a named team to contact when you need advice or something isn’t right.
We also work closely with case managers, NHS teams, therapists, deputies, solicitors and other professionals involved in your care, so everyone is working toward the same plan.
Changing provider can feel daunting, particularly when someone relies on care every day. You may be worried about disrupting familiar routines, losing carers you trust or creating a gap in support.
Our job is to make the transition carefully and safely.
We can work alongside your existing provider while we assess your needs, review the current care plan and prepare the new team.
We’ll give you a realistic start date from the outset. Complex care takes careful planning, and we would rather get it right than rush the transition.
Complex care at home can be funded in several different ways. If you’re unsure what funding may be available, we can help you understand the options.
NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC)
Personal Health Budgets
Local authority funding, where applicable
Compensation or deputy-managed funds following a serious injury or clinical negligence claim
Private funding
A combination of funding sources
You don't need to understand the funding system before you call us. Tell us your situation and we'll explain what we can, including where you may need advice from the NHS, a case manager or another professional.

It depends on the level of care required. Some packages can begin relatively quickly, while highly complex care may require recruitment, specialist training and competency assessments before it is safe to start. After assessment, we’ll give you a realistic mobilisation plan and keep you updated throughout.
