Home care that fits around your life.

From a few hours of companionship each week to regular help with personal care, meals, medication and getting out and about. Our CQC-regulated team builds your care around your routines, preferences and the way you want to live.

Sometimes a little help is all that's needed.

It might start with a few hours a week, someone to share lunch with, help with the shopping, go for a walk, get to an appointment or simply spend some time together.

For others, it's help getting washed and dressed, preparing meals, remembering medication or having someone there while family carers take a break.

You don't have to decide what care might look like six months from now. We start with what would make life easier today and adapt the support if your needs change.

Wherever possible, we keep your care team small and consistent, so you're building relationships with familiar people rather than repeatedly starting again with someone new.

What we can help with:

  • Companionship and spending time together

  • Preparing meals and eating well

From first call to care in place

1

Talk to us about what would help

Tell us what's happening and the kind of support you're considering. You don't need to know exactly how many hours or what type of care you need, we'll help you work that out.
2

A free care assessment

We'll meet you, usually at home or over video, and learn about your routines, preferences, health and what you would like help with. We'll then recommend a level of support and give you a clear price before you make any decision.
3

Meet your carer and get started

We'll introduce the people who will be supporting you and agree when you'd like care to begin. Wherever possible, we keep your care team small and consistent so you see familiar faces.

Care that's personal, with a team behind it.

Inviting someone into your home is a big decision, even if it's only for a few hours each week. That's why we put as much thought into who provides your care as we do into what support you need.

We aim to keep your care team small and consistent, matching people around personality, routines and preferences as well as practical care needs.

And your carers aren't working alone. Oria Care is CQC-regulated and nurse-led, with an experienced care management team available as your needs change.

You get familiar faces in your home, with a professional team behind them.

Questions families often ask us

How many hours of care do I need?

There isn't one right answer. Some people start with one or two regular visits each week, while others need support every day. We'll talk through what's happening and help you work out what would be useful without arranging more care than you need.

Is there a minimum visit length?

Our minimum visit is 2 Hours. We believe carers need enough time to provide support properly and without rushing, so we don't offer very short visits.

Will I have the same carer each time?

We aim to keep your care team as small and consistent as possible. Having familiar people matters, particularly when care is taking place in your own home. We'll explain what consistency we can realistically provide based on your agreed visit pattern.

What can a home carer help with?

Care can be as simple as companionship, shopping, meals or getting out of the house, or it can include personal care, medication support, mobility assistance and more regular daily visits. We'll build the support around what you actually need.

What if my parent doesn't think they need care?

That's very common. We don't believe in forcing the pace. Sometimes starting with companionship, help around the home or an occasional outing feels more natural than introducing lots of care at once. We'll work with your family to find an approach that feels comfortable.

Can you help after a hospital stay?

Yes. We can provide temporary or ongoing support after hospital discharge, whether that's help with meals, washing and dressing, medication, mobility or simply having someone around while confidence returns.

Can carers take someone shopping or to appointments?

Yes. If getting out and about is important, tell us during the assessment. We can discuss carers who drive and the transport arrangements available to you.

Can I increase or reduce the care later?

Yes. Your care doesn't have to stay the same forever. We can review the support with you and adjust your visits if your circumstances change.
